About this collection

The First World War was perhaps the most influential and defining events of the 20th century.  Later conflicts, as well as social and artistic movements, grew out of the upheaval that was “The Great War.”  One of the areas that developed into a mature form during the war was the field of propaganda.

The following digital images are a compilation of the posters in our World War I collections.

Anyone who is interested in obtaining copies of any of the images should contact the Department of Special Collections, McFarlin Library, The University of Tulsa about requests for photo-duplication, publication policies, and applicable charges.
